This year we wanted to do something a little bit special for our customers to show them that we really do care about them and their lives. But since that message is hard to get across without sounding boring, we decided to make a Lip Sync video.

This picture was taken at the Cedar Springs Christmas Party back in 1987. It looks like they were doing either white elephant gifts or Secret Santa or some other Christmas game that has, in the past 23 years, extinct. I’m really not sure what the hat/glasses/nose/mustache thing is suppose to be, but everyone seems to be laughing and having a good time. We use to have Christmas parties every year, the first ones being held in the home of Lois and Curtis McGinnis. I imagine they were joyous occasions.

I thought that for the first post, I would share possibly the first picture of the store. This was taken in 1976, the year that Curtis and Lois started Cedar Springs Christian Store. At the time it was just a second job for both of them, something that they felt called by the Lord to do. They were each working full-time at Oak Ridge National Laboratories. After work every day they would come back and do some work at the store.
